U.S. Catholics likely to follow 'conscience'... What a bunch of crap!

So this just ticks me off... according to a poll on CNN, 74% of people said they were more likely to follow their own conscience on tough moral questions, while 20% said they were more likely to follow the teaching of the new pope.

Excuse me! This just means that you'll do whatever you dang well like instead of following the teachings of the church. Once again proof that we are a society of convenience. What those 74% of people mean when they say that they are Catholic is:

"Yes I'm Catholic", in nice and loud voice, followed by, "when it doesn't conflict with what I want" in a tiny whisper. It just makes me sick.
