EVENT: House Hunting in So Cal

Yay, I'm going to So Cal finally. My Real Estate agent will be showing me around for five days and hopefully I'll be heading back with a new condo to my name. Going to be having a tough time living it up at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach though, but I guess I'll live ;). I'll keep notes as I go along.

Update - 1:51PM Monday, July 4th, 2005: Well so much for notes as I go along, but here's the scoop of what happened while I was down there. Spent the first two days with my real estate agent Katie Martin touring condos around the Irvine area (we looked mostly around Huntington Beach and south of Irvine in the Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel areas). I did end up finding a place that I was interested in putting in an offer for, but it turned out that I had been beaten for that listing. So I'll be living in temp housing initially when I make the move and will be hunting for a place during that time.

EVENT: Summer Festivus

The Hanson brothers are at it again! After the great time we all had at Winter Festivus this last December, they're hosting another event in Island Park, Idaho at their family cabin (though cabin is a very loose description... it's more of a vacation house). Festivus is from the 10th to the 19th of June, though I doubt I'll be there the whole time, with work and moving preparations. Here's a list of the activities from the invitation:
  • Squirrely Truck picnic / mountain biking
  • ATV picnic / riding on the many trails
  • Fly fishing from drift boats
  • Trips into Yellowstone (Geysers / Animals)
  • Target shooting in the forest
  • Hiking
  • Exploration of Sawtell Peak
  • Cow Tippin'
  • Iron Chef Idaho
  • More Settlers of Cataan
  • Star gazin' from the clear unpolluted skies of Idaho
  • Drunken bar brawl at the Trout Hunter!
  • 1AM squirt gun fight
  • pool table
  • bonfires
With a list like that how can I not attend?

Update: Considering I was in California looking for a place to live... well that's how I couldn't attend *sigh*. There's always looking forward to Winter Festivus at least.
